Some moments in your life are beyond memorable they are life
altering. Things you can look back on and you can honestly say those are the
points in your existence that put you on the path you are currently on. It is
like a cosmic fork in the road that is occupied by a single person. A person
that points you towards following your dreams and hopes. The person I can
honestly say had this type of effect on my life was Peter Dobbs. Pete met a young kid who loved history and
encouraged him to keep reading and trying. To look into all the information
that he could and to try as hard as humanly possible to recreate history
whether it was shooting bags or shooting rifles. Pete Took a young kid to the
eastern woodland Indian Conference where he met folks who would help him
further that drive and find lifelong friends.
I can’t
overstate the effect on my life that Peter Dobbs had. The only upside for me is
that before He left this world, I told him how he had helped me and what our
friendship had done for me. He loved the fact that I also had three daughters
and was trying hard to help others in their love of history. Thank you, Pete,
for being part of my life.
